Buzly
Community Guidelines
Buzly is about seeing the world through someone else's eyes, right now. A Buz is a live photo of where you are. Keep it real, keep it kind. These guidelines are part of our Terms of Use, and Buzly is for adults (18+) only.
Who sees your Buz
- World sends your Buz to a random person somewhere in the world. A Buz Back goes to the person whose moment you received. These are people you don't know yet, so the rules here are the strictest.
- My Circle and direct Buzes go only to your connections: people you both chose to connect with. A little more is fine between connections (see below), but the core rules never change.
Never allowed, anywhere
- Nudity or sexual content, including partial nudity, sexual acts, or sexualised poses.
- Anything involving a minor in a sexual, inappropriate or unsafe way. We report child sexual abuse material to the authorities. See our Child Safety Standards.
- Violence and gore: blood, injuries, cruelty to people or animals, weapons used to threaten.
- Self-harm or content that encourages it. If you're struggling, please reach out to a local helpline.
- Harassment and hate: bullying, threats, or attacking people for who they are.
- Other people's privacy: photos of people in private situations without their consent, or someone's personal information.
- Illegal activity, scams, spam, advertising, or impersonating someone.
- Photos that aren't live: Buz is taken in the app, right now. Don't photograph screens or prints of other people's photos to pass them off.
Swimwear and suggestive photos
- To your connections (My Circle, direct Buz): everyday swimwear and beach or pool photos are fine. Nudity and sexual content are still not allowed.
- To strangers (World, Buz Back): photos that are clearly suggestive, such as posing in underwear or swimwear, aren't sent. Share the beach, the sea, the place. That's what Buzly is about.
How photos are checked
Every photo is checked automatically before it's sent, using Google Cloud Vision SafeSearch, which estimates how likely a photo is to contain adult, suggestive or violent content. If a photo doesn't meet these guidelines it isn't sent to anyone, you'll see "This photo can't be sent", and it doesn't use up a Buz. If the check can't run, the photo isn't sent and you can try again.
Automatic checks aren't perfect. Sometimes a harmless photo is stopped, and sometimes something gets through. That's why reporting matters.
Reporting and what happens next
- Tap Report or block on any moment, or Report in a chat. The moment is hidden straight away while our team reviews it, usually within 24 hours. Blocking stops all contact in both directions.
- You'll hear back from Buzly Support in the app. We never tell the other person who reported them.
- If something breaks these guidelines, we remove it. Breaking them again can lead to restrictions or removal from Buzly. Accounts reported by several people may be suspended while we review.
- For anything else, use Settings → Help & Feedback in the app.
