Buzly
Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and Buzly Labs Ltd, 3 Tsar Boris III Blvd, Hipodruma, 1612 Sofia, Bulgaria (UIC BG201170349) ("Buzly", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using Buzly you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Buzly.
1. Who can use Buzly
- You must be 18 or older.
- You must not be barred from using Buzly under applicable law, and you must not have had a Buzly account removed for breaking these terms.
- One person, one account. Keep your sign-in secure. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
2. How Buzly works
Send a Buz (a live photo taken in the app) and it travels to someone, somewhere in the world, within the preferences you choose. Every Buz you send brings a moment back from someone else. You can answer a moment with a Buz Back, and if the other person chooses Connect, you become connections and can chat and Buz each other directly.
Moments come from real people at real times, so we can't guarantee when, or whether, a moment will reach you or someone else. Strangers see your moment, your city, country, an approximate area and a distance, never your name or exact location (see the Privacy Policy).
3. Community rules: zero tolerance
The full rules, including what's fine between connections and how photos are checked, are in our Community Guidelines.
Buzly has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Content that breaks these rules is removed, and people who post it or abuse others are removed from Buzly.
Buzly is about seeing the world through other people's eyes. Keep it real and respectful. You must not post or send anything that:
- contains nudity, sexual content, or sexualises anyone;
- involves or shows a minor in an inappropriate or unsafe way;
- is violent, gory, or threatens or encourages harm, including self-harm;
- harasses, bullies, intimidates or demeans anyone, or is hateful toward people because of who they are;
- shows other people in private situations without their consent, or shares someone else's personal information;
- is illegal, promotes illegal activity, or infringes someone else's rights, including copyright and privacy;
- is spam, advertising, a scam, or impersonates someone;
- isn't a live moment taken in the app (for example a screenshot or a photo of a screen made to deceive).
You also must not try to find out where someone is, contact people who have blocked you, create accounts to get around a block or a ban, interfere with Buzly's systems, scrape data, or use bots or modified apps.
4. Safety, reports and moderation
- Every photo is checked automatically before it's delivered. Photos that don't pass aren't sent.
- You can report a moment or a person and block anyone at any time in the app. Blocking stops all contact both ways.
- A reported moment is removed from your feed at once and hidden from everyone while we review it. Chat messages are filtered automatically for objectionable words.
- We review every report within 24 hours. We remove content that breaks these terms and remove the accounts of the people who posted it. Accounts reported by several people are suspended automatically while we review them. We may report illegal content to the authorities.
- To report something or get in touch: use Report in the app, or email ask@buzlylabs.com (also in the app under Profile → Settings → Contact us).
- We don't review every moment or message before it's delivered, and we can't promise that you'll never see something you find objectionable. If you do, report it.
5. Your content
You own the moments and messages you create. So that Buzly can work, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process, display and deliver your content to the people it's meant for, and to check it for safety, for as long as it's on Buzly. This licence ends when your content or account is deleted, except where we must keep something to comply with the law or handle a report.
You're responsible for what you share, and you confirm you have the right to share it. Don't share anything you don't want a stranger to see.
6. Your account
You can delete your account at any time in Profile → Settings → Delete Account. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or to protect other people. Where it's reasonable, we'll tell you why.
7. Changes to Buzly and to these terms
Buzly is new and will change. We may add, change or remove features. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app before the change takes effect. If you keep using Buzly after that, the new terms apply.
8. Disclaimers
Buzly is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it running and safe, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free or secure, or that people you meet will behave well. Be careful when you share anything personal with connections, and never share anything that could put you at risk. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited by law.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the content or conduct of other users. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be excluded by law.
10. Apple App Store
If you downloaded Buzly from the App Store: these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for Buzly or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and isn't responsible for any claims relating to Buzly (including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, or intellectual property claims). If Buzly fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm you're not located in a country subject to a US government embargo and aren't on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Bulgaria. If you're a consumer living in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country, and you can bring a claim in your local courts. We'd always rather sort things out directly first, so please contact us.
